Best ALDH1A2 Antibody

About Best ALDH1A2 Antibody

Retinaldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member A2 (ALDH1A2) catalyzes the synthesis of all trans-retinoic acid from vitamin A. This molecule has been shown to play an important role in early embryonic development and cardiac formation, and its loss of function leads to a number of cardiac defects in mice (Niederreither et al., 2001; Lin et al., 2010).

Best ALDH1A2 antibody this study we examined the expression of ALDH1A2 during cardiac development in vivo using an antibody against the human protein. We showed that ALDH1A2 is primarily restricted to epicardial cells at early time-points of cardiac development, but that the protein becomes more ventricularly localized at later time-points. We also showed that cardiomyocytes, stromal cells derived from the epicardium and the interventricular septum, and fibroblasts derived from the epicardium are all capable of producing ALDH1A2.

Immunofluorescence ICC Staining of Cells on Coverslips

SK-BR-3 human breast cancer cells and MCF-7 human breast cancer cells were exposed to Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat ALDH2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10168) at 8 ug/mL for 3 hours at room temperature in a coverslip chamber. The cells were then stained with the NorthernLights(tm) 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. View our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Cells.
